Nah, he's actually a cool guy. One of the best models I had in my life drawing classes. This is a portrait of him that I did using Nu-pastels plus a few Rembrandts as well. It's probably my favorite project from last quarter, since I didn't initially think it would turn out this good, although the resemblance is a bit off. I ended up selling it to my mom's husband for $150.

NuPastels are great! What kind of paper have you used? I usually use velour paper

Thanks! I don't remember what brand it is specifically, but it has a texture very much like sandpaper, and works really well with pastels. It's somewhat expensive too...the sheet I got cost $13 and isn't particularly large.

ARGH - it is not fair, when all those stuff is so expensive... but well, sometimes it is just worth ;)
